Frequently Asked Questions

16 November 2025 by LTGR

Are there any compulsory extras to pay?

No.

Whilst other properties in the area add an extra €80.00 or so to cover the clean and changeover fee, our prices already include that.

This is why we set a minimum number of nights.

I only want to stay 2 nights but the calendar is set for a minimum of 4 nights.

As our price includes the clean / changeover fee (normally €80.00), we have to set a minimum stay to cover it.

However, you can book four nights and just stay two.

Alternatively, email me on info@latorre.co.uk and I’ll work out a custom price.

Your property is advertised as 'sleeps four' but we have 3 children.

All townhouse and apartments at La Torre Golf Resort only have two bedrooms. We do not offer a sofa bed, as we feel that the house would be too cramped with more than four people staying there. However, provided you are happy, the children can share a bed. If it’s not a problem for you, it’s not a problem for us.

For babies, we can provide a cot for just 5 euros, which covers the extra laundry.

Please be wary of other properties on La Torre that advertise ‘sleeps seven’. Only villas will comfortably sleep that number of people.

Is smoking allowed in the house?

No – the property is strictly No Smoking.

However, if you must smoke, please do so outside. Use the ash tray and do not throw cigarette butts into the garden. Apart from it being disgusting, it is also a fire hazard – and our cleaners will charge extra for picking them up.

Should we hire a car?

In short – yes.

Public transport in the area is limited and we always recommend that you hire a rental car. Often it works out the same cost as the return taxi fare from the airport.

Having said that, if all you want to do is relax by the pool or play golf at the Resort everyday (and don’t intend to go the the beach or go sight-seeing around Murcia), then you needn’t bother. But bear it mind, it’s a two and a half kilometre walk into the nearest local town.

It’s a good idea to book your car as early as possible – even at the same time as your flights. You don’t have to pay until you pick it up. We used to use www.doyouspain.com or www.carjet.com. (We have our own car now.) These are rental car brokers; when you select your car, avoid Goldcar and Dickmanns. And choose the refundable option.

By the way, we provide you with a sat nav with pre-installed locations, such as favourite restaurants, beaches, Murcia city, Cartagena and other local towns – as well as the train station, pharmacist, dentists and nearest hospital. Alternatively, if you have the app, I can send you list of the What3Words addresses of several bars, restaurants, beaches and other locations.

What about a Welcome Pack?

A small welcome pack of food and drink is included free of charge for all bookings of seven nights or more.

The packs vary but as an example they include water, coffee, tea, orange juice, milk, wine, a couple of beers, bread, butter, eggs and cheese. This is subject to change and availability.

Arriving late at night? If you’d like to preorder a homemade Thai meal, contact me on info@latorre.co.uk and I’ll send you the menu. 24 hours’ notice is required, as the food is freshly prepared at the Resort by a Thai chef. It will be waiting for you at the house. Prices are from €12.00 a portion.

The pictures show a double bed in one bedroom and two singles in the other. Can we change that?

There are two single beds in the downstairs bedroom and a super king size bed upstairs.

However, the two singles can be pushed together to make another super king bed.

Are towels and bedding provided?

All bedroom sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers and bathroom towels are provided.

You’ll also find four beach towels in the storage cupboard on the upstairs terrace.

Do you have WiFi at the house?

There’s free, secure 300Mbps WiFi at the townhouse.

The password is in the Welcome document I’ll send you the week before your stay. It’s also on the back of the front door and on the side table in the lounge.

What time does the sun disappear on the top terrace?

Needless to say, that depends on the time of year.

However, here are actual times I recorded when only the far corner of the terrace is in sunlight.

14 January – 13:15 / 30 January – 14:30
16 March – 15:50
2 April – 16:15 / 13 April – 16:30
19 May – 17:30
13 June – 17:30 / 30 June – 17:30
2 July – 18:00
8 September – 16:35 / 10 September – 17:10
7 October – 16:00 / 19 October – 15:50

When the sun disappears from the top terrace, you can take the small table and chairs outside the front and enjoy another 90 minutes or so of sunshine. (If it’s a sunny day, of course!)

Is there a daily maid service?

No, unless you come to some private arrangement with the Property Manager. This will be chargeable as extra.

What about a hairdryer?

There’s one in the upstairs bathroom.

Are the 14:00 earliest check-in and 10:30 latest check-out times flexible?

If there are no guests checking out on the day you arrive or checking in on your departure day, it shouldn’t be a problem, but email info@latorre.co.uk first to check.

What TV and other entertainment do you have at the townhouse?

We have cable TV with Amazon Prime, Netflix (subscription required) and many HD Spanish, UK and international terrestrial channels.

There’s a television in the lounge and both bedrooms, and an Amazon Fire Stick.

Click the link for the full list of television channels at La Torre Golf Resort.

You’ll also find over 300 music CDs, books, games and films to suit all tastes. Furthermore, we have a CD player, three DVD players, a Bluetooth speaker, an iPod dock, tennis rackets, a bucket and spade and various other beach/ball games.

Where can I find further information?

Once you have booked your accommodation, we’ll email you the password to the downloads page on this website, where you’ll find the directions, useful information about the house, the area, a restaurant guide and much more.

You may also find our links page very helpful and informative.

How do we gain access to the house?

For access, use the electronic door lock on the front door.

The code for the lock is the first five digits of your booking reservation number, followed by hash (#). It is active from 14:00 on the day of your arrival until the day of your departure.

Once inside the house, you’ll find a key fob on a hook by the front door. You can use that instead of your code, if you prefer. Hold it against the lock to unlock it.

The door locks automatically when you close it.
